SOFIA (Bulgaria), August 10 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian bourse said on Friday it decided to drop real estate investment fund (REIT) ELARG Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund [BUL:4EC] from the BG REIT index and add Exclusive Property [BUL:5EX] instead.
The decision takes effect on August 13, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) said in a statement published on its website.
ELARG’s removal from the index follows the financial supervision commission’s decision to revoke its special purpose vehicle licence, the statement added.
Bulgaria's financial watchdog revoked ELARG’s licence in July at the REIT’s own request after the company’s shareholders decided to liquidate it.
The REIT’s shares will also be removed from the bourse's SOFIX, BG 40 and BG TR30 indices after the decision on its liquidation is entered in the trade register with the registry agency, the BSE added.
ELARG traded 0.2% lower at 1.97 levs ($1.24/1.01 euro) in a volume of 367 shares by 1230 GMT.
