SOFIA (Bulgaria), July 11 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian environment ministry said on Wednesday it has signed a 15.6 million lev ($9.8 million/7.9 million euro) funding agreement with the Lukovit municipality for the construction of a waste management system.
The money will be spent on the construction of a regional non-hazardous waste depot and a composting installation, among other facilities, the ministry said in a statement.
The project is financed under the EU-funded operational programme Environment,
The municipality of Lukovit is located in northern Bulgaria.
