BELGRADE (Serbia), August 8 (SeeNews) - The newly-appointed governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Jorgovanka Tabakovic, has formally taken office, the central bank said on Wednesday.
Tabakovic will serve a six-year mandate, the NBS said in a statement.
She takes over from Dejan Soskic who resigned last week over a controversial bill that he feared could infringe on the central bank's independence.
